June Clinics:
What To Know, Before You Go!
Summit Soccer Academy is excited to offer a camp that will help players feel self sufficient and ready to train on their own as they take off for summer vacation. Whether you’re down on the Cape, away at camp, or abroad, this clinic will provide you with all the tools you need for training on your own, keeping yourself fit and preventing injuries over the summer. The camp will go over drills that you can do by yourself or with a partner. A summer guide with everything we cover in camp will be available for purchase to use as a reference for our summer training.
Dates: June 18 & 19

Who: All ages who want help preparing for summer training
Cost: $275 per player- cost includes summer training packet, mini band and cones
Striker Clinic
We will kick off our series with a striker’s clinic. We will cover everything from 1v1 skills, to movement off the ball, to shooting and finishing technique.
Dates: June 20 & 21
Time: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Who: All ages; players will be grouped and coached according to age and skill level

1v1 & 2v1 Clinic
We will cover everything 1v1 moves offensively, to defensive strategy and positioning. We will also teach how to attack with numbers up and create numbers up situations along with how to defend when you are numbers down. This clinic will help strengthen player’s tactical understanding and technical ability.

July Clinics:
Anticipation & Decision Making Clinic
This clinic will teach players how to read and move into space. We aim to increase player’s speed of play and helping players to learn to move proactively instead of waiting and reacting to a play. Drills will focus on game-like situations in order to help players gain a better understanding of smart decision making and how to effectively move with and without the ball.

Defensive Principles Clinic
This clinic will teach players the important tactical priciples of defending. This clinic is for ALL POSITIONS, not just defenders. We will cover how to defend as a forward, a midfielder and a defender. We will create different scenarios so that players must learn to problem solve, at game speed, based on the principles we’ve taught. We will also cover both team and individual defending. covered.

First Touch Clinic
. A player’s first touch is one of the most important aspects of the game. Without being able to comfortably and consistently control a ball, the game becomes very challenging.. We will teach the fundamentals of first touch of every surface of the foot and body, both on the ground and in the air. Players will get hundreds of repetitions trapping and receiving balls and will play fun games in order to apply what they’ve learned to game situations.

Passing, Striking, and Shooting Technique Clinic
This clinic will cover all different types of distribution and shooting techniques. Players will learn how to use each surface of the foot for passing and shooting, how to properly weight a ball and when to apply which technique to situations in a game.

August Clinics
High School Preseason Prep Boot Camp:
Summit Soccer Academy is excited to offer a camp that will help players feel fully prepared and confident going into to high school preseason tryouts. The camp will cover technical foot skills, passing and receiving, shooting technique and scrimmage play. We will also address tips/techniques for passing fitness testing and give advice on how to stand out in tryouts. We will also cover topics like performance anxiety and give advice on how to be confident, composed and how to stand out in tryouts.

The camp will cover technical foot skills, passing and receiving, shooting technique and scrimmage play. We will also give advice on how to be confident, composed and how to stand out in tryouts.
